South Canyon is located in the far southern corner of Marble Canyon, about 35 miles (of the 277 mile long Grand Canyon) south of Lee's Ferry, which is the starting point of Grand Canyon National Park. Lee's Ferry is 15.3 miles down the river from the Glen Canyon Dam. Marble Canyon ends where the Colorado River meets the Little Colorado River.
