Herbert Lake First sign of Fall
Herbert Lake is a tiny slice of paradise 6 KM (3.7 miles) north of Lake Louise on the Icefields Parkway (Hwy 93) in Banff National Park west of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The little, picturesque, mountain-surrounded lake can be easily missed if you blink, sneeze or happen to glance to the right as you pass by. There are signs, and a picnic area just north of this surrealistic vision. Early morning, with still air and sun from the east, is a very good time to visit. Park safely and walk the path along the east and south shorelines with your camera at the ready. Please enjoy these photographs taken along my way to a hike from Num-Ti-Jah Lodge into Bow Glacier Falls.
